Overview

The 8-days and 7 nights tour from Marrakech to Zagora via Merzouga is one of the most beautiful tours to experience the best of Morocco, from the bustling red city center to the beautiful and exciting picturesque desert landscapes of the Merzouga and Zagora regions. Here is the itinerary of this tour.

Day 1: Marrakech

Start your day with a visit to the famous Jemaa el Fna Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you can see snake charmers, henna artists and Moroccan traditional musicians. In the afternoon, we will take you on a short tour to explore the labyrinthine alleys of Medina, the ancient city of Marrakech. Get lost in the maze of shops selling spices, carpets and beautiful souvenirs , on this evening we will all enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner in an amazing restaurant.

Day 2: Marrakech

We will devote this day to discovering what distinguishes the cosmopolitan city of Marrakech or the most lively city among the four former imperial cities of Morocco, founded in 1062 by Abu Bakr Ibn Omar, the leader and cousin of the Almoravid King Yusuf ibn Tashfin.We will see the Old Town (or Medina), the quiet Lighthouse gardens, its artificial lakes, orchards and olive groves, and do not forget about the Majorelle Gardens, which are all included in the former UNESCO world historical sites. In addition, we will go to the Koutoubia minaret.

Day 3: Marrakesh / Ouarzazate / Dades Valley (300 km)

At 8 am, we will make our way through the High Atlas Mountains, which include the largest mountain peak in Morocco measuring 4167 meters named Toubkal and we will enjoy the beauty of Tizi ntechka and its picturesque landscapes . On the way, you will have a break to drink Moroccan mint-flavored tea or coffee in one of the Amazigh villages and take pictures of these beautiful Amazigh villages. After an hour of driving, we will reach the village of Ait Ben Hadou, where there is the most beautiful Kasbah called Ait Ben Hadou, which is an ancient building dedicated to collective life and this Kasbah has also been nominated as a UNESCO heritage . The filming of films and series is considered the most important activities that characterize this region . After all this we will enjoy delicious food in the area. Then we will continue the way towards the dads Valley, through the Makona castle or the Rose Capital, a city known for thousands of hectares of beautiful roses, after arriving at Bomalen Dads we will stop and we will spend our night here.

day 4: Dades Valley / Merzouga _ (170 km)

.After breakfast, our destination will be to the international city or region of Merzouga, but before that we will pass through the international strait of Todga in order to take pictures and enjoy its charming views, we will stop for lunch and then continue our journey to the desert passing through Tinajdad , Erfoud, Rissani.  When we arrive in Merzouga, we will relax for a while with a Moroccan tea and enjoy the views of the sand dunes. Then you will leave your bags and take only what is necessary to spend the night in the desert . There you will meet a camelman who will take you to the camp located among the sand dunes and under the shining stars of the desert, and you will also enjoy the amazing sunset and traditional Amazigh music . For dinner, you will dinner  inside of the camp.

Day 5: Merzouga / Zagora (300 km)

Morning Departure: Start from Merzouga and head to Rissani, a historic town on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Explore the traditional souk (market), known for its handicrafts, spices, and local products. If time allows, we'll visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Sharif to take souvenir photos. After we will drive to Wadi Draa, the "valley of dates," famous for its palm groves and traditional palaces. Enjoy lunch here. Evening Arrival: Proceed to Zagora. Visit the 17th-century Kasbah of Zagora. You can enjoy experiencing a camel ride at sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp. Surprises Await! Day 6: Zagora / Ouarzazate (165 km)

In morning early, you will enjoy sunrise and the golden sand dunes, after breakfast we will go ahead to Ouarzazate city also known as "Hollywood Morocco" because of the many films filmed in this area. On the way to Ouarzazate, you may want to stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a popular photo location, for dinner and overnight stay will be in the city of Ouarzazate, where you can have a good time and explore the bustling main square of the town.

Day 7: Ouarzazate / Marrakesh (200 km)

Day five: goodbye to Ouarzazate, Hello Marrakech! After a hearty breakfast at the Hotel / Riyadh Ouarzazate we will head straight towards the Kasbah of taurert: discover Taourirt Kasbah, a historic castle located on a hill overlooking the city. And then the Ouarzazate Studios: we visit the Ouarzazate Studios, where many famous films were shot, such as "Lawrence of Arabia","the English Patient" and"Jasser". Here you will say goodbye to the desert. We will head straight to Marrakech High Atlas landscapes: enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains during your return trip to Marrakech.Kasbah of tilwit: stop to visit Tilwit kasbah, one of the oldest kasbahs in the High Atlas.Tizi ntechka pass: pass through the Tizi Ntechka pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco. Then we will have lunch at a local restaurant before arriving in Marrakech. In the evening, you will arrive Marrakesh city , known as the "Red City".

Day 8: Transfer to the airport

After breakfast and shower we will take you to the airport, to say goodbye to Morocco. We also wish you a safe flight
