5 days from Marrakesh to Merzouga
Day 1 : Marrakech - Ait Ourir - Tadret - Ouarzazate - Strait of Dades.
The first day of a 5-day trip from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert tour:
Our journey starts from the city of Marrakech to Merzouga through the charming Atlas Mountains. Passing by Tizi” nechka”, which is rich in definition, you will enjoy its beautiful and picturesque views while stopping to take pictures and breathe fresh air. Then we will visit the argan oil producers cooperative to learn about how it is extracted and its various uses.In the afternoon we will take the traveler to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. You will also have the opportunity to discover the filming location of many films and series. And after all this we will have a delicious lunch. Our journey continues through Ouarzazate towards the Great Desert Gate, passing through the picturesque valley of roses while enjoying the sight and smell of roses. In a few minutes we will get to the last point for today.
Day 2 : Dades Gorges - Tinghir - Tingdad - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast, our destination will be to the international city or region of Merzouga, but before that we will pass through the international strait of Todga in order to take pictures and enjoy its charming views, we will stop for lunch and then continue our journey to the desert passing through Tinajdad , Erfoud, Rissani. When we arrive in Merzouga, we will relax for a while with a Moroccan tea and enjoy the views of the sand dunes. Then you will leave your bags and take only what is necessary to spend the night in the desert . There you will meet a camelman that will take you to the camp located among the sand dunes and under the shining stars of the desert, and you will also enjoy the amazing sunset and traditional Amazigh music . For dinner, you will dinner inside of the camp.
Day 3: Merzouga - El Khemlia - Mavis - Mardan - Bedouins - Erg Chebbi - Merzouga
A day full of adventures and discoveries awaits you in the Merzouga Desert! So you have to be ready for that early morning. Wake up early to watch the sunrise. After a traditional breakfast at the camp, we will take you back to Merzouga by camel or by a 4×4 car, depending on your choice. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will meet with the driver to start your tour to explore the Merzouga region: the most important place you will visit on this day. visiting the old coal mine. Visit the tents of the Nomads and drink tea with them. Enjoy the music of the Kanawa and their unique dance. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Walk through the palm grove. Travel to the White Hassi Oasis. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel / Riyadh.
Observations:
The program is adjustable to your liking. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes suitable for hot weather. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat with you. Day 4: Merzouga - Draa Valley -Ouarzazate
Adventures through the Draa Valley
You should wake up before sunrise to enjoy the magic of sunrise over the golden dunes of the Merzouga desert, before saying goodbye to Merzouga, say goodbye to the charming oasis of Merzouga and set off on the journey back to Ouarzazate. During this day, you will enjoy the picturesque landscapes of the Draa Valley, the longest valley in Morocco, where you will see green palm oases, lush groves and traditional villages. You will discover the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortress included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. We will also stop at a traditional village along the way, interact with the locals, and get to know their culture and traditions. In the evening, you will arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “gateway to the desert, ” and enjoy a relaxing night in a traditional hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.
day 5 : Ourzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakesh
Day five: goodbye to Ouarzazate, Hello Marrakech! After a hearty breakfast at the Hotel / Riyadh bourzazat we will head straight towards the Kasbah of taurert: discover Taourit Kasbah, a historic castle located on a hill overlooking the city. And then the Ouarzazate Studios: we visit the Ouarzazate Studios, where many famous films were shot, such as “Lawrence of Arabia”,”the English Patient” and”Jasser”. Here you will say goodbye to the desert. We will head straight to Marrakech High Atlas landscapes: enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains during your return trip to Marrakech.Kasbah of tilwit: stop to visit Tilwit kasbah, one of the oldest kasbahs in the High Atlas.Tizi ntechka pass: pass through the Tizi Ntechka pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco. Then we will have lunch at a local restaurant before arriving in Marrakech. In the evening, you will arrive Marrakesh city, known as the “Red City”. Five unforgettable days.
