day 1: Errachidia airport - Merzouga night in the hotel

As you land in Errachidia airport Moulay Ali Cherif, our driver guide will be there for a meet greet session. He will then proceed to take you southwards along the Palm groves and the ksour of the Tafilalet region. You will witness the changing scenery and the desert’s transformation into hues of orange, red, and gold along with the black rocky hamada. When you reach Merzouga, you will be taken to your hotel and greeted with a welcome drink, mint tea. You will also be served dinner and breakfast at the hotel.

day 2: Explore Merzouga with jeep - Camel Trekking and night in the desert

Your driving guide will pick you up in the morning for the beginning of your ride in a 4×4. During the day, you will visit Khamlia, a village attebnked by Sudanese descendants who were freed as slaves. This is where they perform a very soulful Gnawa for you. There’s exploration of the mines, concealed villages, oases, and off-road expeditions. You will cross sand dunes on a camel in the evening as the sun is beginning to set. At the nomads camp, dinner will also be served to you, music near the campfire, and a million stars above.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Erfoud - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes

An early start today to catch the desert sunrise. Breakfast and back to meet your driver riding the camels across the silence of the dunes. First stop of the day will be to visit one of the fossil workshops in Erfoud; home of the majority of Morocco´s mineral and fossil fields. The journey then follows the gorges of Ziz Valley and through mountainous regions to nomadic pasturelands. In Midelt we take a lunch break. The mountains give way to giant cedar forests and we will stop so you can watch the indigenous Barbary monkeys in the trees. Hidden in this forested region is Ifrane, you would almost think you are in the Alps with the sloping roofs and architecture. Last stop of the day will be in Fes; the ancient mediaeval spiritual medina with its 9000 labyrinth of car free streets.
